11:58pm

I am trying to fall asleep (I know, it's late), when all of a sudden I hear earth-shattering screaming coming from J's bedroom. I rush to her room, still hear the screaming from the vicinity of her bed, but J is nowhere in sight. "J, where are you?" "I rolled under my bed!"

A little bit of coaxing, and she was able to maneuver her way out from underneath her toddler bed. I have no idea how she wiggled her way under there, into that tiny amount of space. Some cuddling and reassurance, and she was calmed down.

When I put her to bed earlier, I had propped her up with an extra pillow (she's got a cold with an icky cough), meaning that she was sleeping below the rail of her toddler bed, which explains how she rolled out of bed, but getting under there is still a mystery to me. Needless to say, I took away that extra pillow when I got her settled back into bed.

The poor girl - I bet it was scary waking up under the bed. I'm glad everyone is OK!

Oh there's nothing worse than waking up under the bed! Poor little girlie. Fortunately mommy was there to cuddle and soothe.

Hope the cold's better now!
